A loss for words, the ECEA can only say Thank You to all the riders, friends and families who came to the South Penn OXBO Hare Scramble at Irish Valley MX, also thank you to the staff at IVMX .
Some people have said I survived a nor’easter… well the ECEA trashed mother nature.
She came at us with rain, cold and mud and wind for the Saturday FastKIDZ Event, 100 Fast Kidz just killed it .. Dalton Bloom, Hunter Harbs, Jake Ross topped the Youth division, Julian Wojcik lapped the field in the PeeWee, Jaden Palmer, Ken Held, Ryan Gribben took the 50′s.
Sunday started off by picking up the pieces of broken ez ups and blown away canopies…cold damp, raining, wet.. 33-34 degrees, then more cold rain, sleet, 30 degrees and snow.. 3 inches in an hour +
Above we have the A Open line stacked and racked ready for the mud fest, next pic, Overall all winner Tegan Temple leaving the event. Last pic is then one hour later at 5:30, out my window as I turned left out of IVMX.. 3.5 hours to go 72 miles..
South Penn raised the bar at IVMX with an expanded course, well laid out and a great host, good food, to make an epic event for the ECEA Hare Scramble Series. Tegan Temple and Kyle Mcdonal played cat and mouse all day but on the last lasp Tegan dug deep and Kyle fell back a 30 seconds. Tegan took the checkered. Another rider avoiding the last lap bottle necks and disasters was Myles Miller who took the 3rd overall spot. Len Rehatchek III road solid all day to claim the 4th overall position. Luke Ross killed the B classes.
Earlier in the Morning Event Stan Wojcik topped the overall in the Sportsman class, Justin Ware was our top C rider and Joey Castaldi spanked the schoolboy class and placed 8th overall in the morning.
